In its 60th anniversary celebration ,China has shown its people and the world that the country now is rich and powerful.Most Chinese are proud of the successful the morning military parade and the evening parties.

The disgraceful history leading to the suffering of millions under the government of Mao Zedong has been covered up.But the present government cannot disjoin itself with Mao.


The current party leader Hu Jintao tried to tell the people that the history of the past 60 years showed that only socialism could save China,and reform was to ensure the development of socialism.The disasters brought by Mao who steered to develop socialism in China.

The truth is that Mao had removed Deng from its posts in the party many times and three successors after Mao,Hua Guofeng,Hu Yaobbang and Zhao Ziyang,have not been mentioned.

Mao is the founder of the Communist Part in China.Party heirs cannnot dissociate themselves from Mao for legitimacy.So Mao's dishonor was hidden,and Mao somehow seemmed to be also responsible for the country's prosperity.

However,other countries in tthe world such as USA and Japan do not agree tthat China has achieved continuous progress in the past 60 yearrs.They only agree that China has made great progress only in the recent 3 decades. The first 30 yearrs under Mao was a failure.

The ChineseCommunist Party needs to face up to is past.Mao's abuses of power were possible only because the prty allowes it to happenn.They Chinese people in the first 30 yearrs had paid for this.
